Episode 27: Systems and Processes: How Important Are They to Your Business? ft. Lori Spillane

“One of the things that we, say,

“Hey, you can get off of this sell, sell, sell, train, reoccurring revenue.”

And so, having different types of revenue streams also is going to help solve that and it’s going to increase their valuation by having that reoccurring revenue.”

Welcome to a brand new episode of the Cash Flow CFO Podcast. Joining me today is Lori Spillane from Lori Spillane & Co. Lori helps her clients enjoy their luxurious lifestyles while working less and earning more. She’s based in Southern New Hampshire. She is a wife and mother who spends most of her free time honing her dance skills and tending to her outdoor garden. Lori works with business owners currently making six figures to help them reach seven figures, employ their dream team, develop as stronger leaders, and make informed financial decisions.

One of the things we’ll cover is about hiring people who are there just for the money or people who are there for the mission. According to Lori, cultivating an environment that values employees is essential to long-term retention.

In this episode, we’ll talk about Lori’s approach to helping her clients see the value of investing in their employees’ education as a building block for their company and the main challenges they encounter once they hit the seven-figure sales mark, and much more!

“You can hire people who are there just for the money, or you can hire people who are there for the mission. And so, creating a culture that nurtures them is crucial for keeping those employees long-term. Because if you have a revolving door of employees where it’s like a new employee every three months, it’s going to be incredibly expensive because you’re not just talking about wages and taxes, you’re talking about training costs and not to mention it’s going to increase your unemployment rate.”

Systems and Processes: How Important Are They to Your Business?

Are you interested in expanding your company? It’s essential to pay attention to your systems and processes! These are the foundational elements of any business, giving it structure, support, and the guarantee of efficient operations—all of which can increase employee satisfaction and happiness.

According to Andrea, the fact that their systems, processes, and project management software are so well-organized has been instrumental in the expansion and scaling of their business. Though, not enough business owners value that aspect of their operation.

“If somebody were to come in and look at our systems, processes, our project management software, like, that part of the business is so buttoned up and that is really what’s helped us to grow and scale the company. And I don’t think that enough business owners, respect that piece of their business.”
